We are looking for a HR and Recruitment Manager to help support, develop and grow our team of digital experts in order to drive and shape the future success of our agency.

About the role

Working within our Agency Services Team, the HR and Recruitment Manager will take responsibility for the full HR and Recruitment function at Ridgeway, partnering with key members of the business to help shape our policies and processes whilst also developing and implementing a recruitment strategy that works to attract high quality talent to our agency.

Roles and Responsibilities

HR Management

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business’s priorities and needs, working closely with line managers to jointly resolve any challenges
  • Provide input in key areas such as change management, organisational design, employee engagement and interpersonal relations
  • Manage employee relations matters such as sick absence, grievances, disciplinary and redundancy
  • Actively monitor employee engagement, advising on areas for improvement and implementing where relevant
  • Support employees by providing information, assistance, and guidance throughout their employment
  • Take ownership of Ridgeway policies and processes including our Terms and Conditions of Employment, ensuring they are legally compliant and reviewing and implementing updates where required
  • Help to support an inspiring and positive work and communication culture within the team
  • Line management of the Office Coordinator

Recruitment

  • Develop and implement a formal recruitment strategy, including targeted recruitment campaigns for priority roles
  • Manage the recruitment process, working with agencies and direct candidates, from attracting candidates through to inductions
  • Provide coaching and support to hiring managers within the business
  • Write and distribute recruitment collateral that is in line with company branding, and tone of voice including job adverts and person specifications

Essential skills and experience

  • Have solid generalist HR experience in a similar role as the sole HR and Recruitment representative in a small to medium sized business
  • Be competent and confident in managing the full HR and Recruitment lifecycle
  • Have excellent people skills and the ability to challenge, coach and influence managers and team members at all levels throughout the agency 
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and the ability to perform at both an operational and strategic level
  • Have a passion for driving best practice and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, documented policies and employment legislation
  • Have proven experience of being able to work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks at any one time

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience of working for a digital agency
  • Experience of recruiting technical individuals, ideally into design and development roles
  • CIPD qualified

    This is a full-time role based in our Witney studio in Oxfordshire. Occasional travel to the London office may be required.

  • This is an initial 1 year FTC to cover a period of maternity leave with the expectation that the role will be reviewed after 1 year and made permanent when the existing HR representative returns from maternity leave.
