Sales Development Manager

Working within one of our most dynamic teams you will use your creative thinking to help identify potential new brands in our target sectors and contribute to delivering tactical lead generation and our planned calendar of events.

What will you be doing day to day?

  • With support from the Digital Consultants and wider team, you will identify problems within a new opportunity to sell in relevant and appropriate agency services and solutions.
  • Acting as a point of contact for new prospects, responding to inbound enquiries in good time, initial qualification to generate next step ‘face to face’ meetings and successful outcomes.
  • Evangelising our unique agency proposition and inspiring sales leads to the benefits of working with an award winning trusted partner, providing a memorable first contact experience through to onboarding.
  • You will have overall accountability and management of all your sales activity.
  • You will contribute to improving Ridgeway’s sales collateral and sales processes in order to prepare engaging and insightful presentations.
  • Help building a network of strategic, complementary partner organisations that expand our current service offering that can also act in a new business referral capacity.
  • You will support the completion of initial PQQs, evaluate suitable ITTs, RFPs whilst identifying and progressing the most promising opportunities.
  • In collaboration with the Digital Consultants and agency talent, organising teams, preparing successful sales pitches. 

  • Working alongside Ridgeway’s Account team at the commencement of client projects to ensure a smooth transition from the Sales process is undertaken.

  • As a ‘Gold Partner’ and a top 3 UK Agency, help manage and extend our strong relationship with Kentico.
  • You will be attending Agency and relevant industry or networking events that offer potential presenting and speaking opportunities to draw new organisations into our pipeline.
  • Contributing to thought leadership pieces for Ridgeway marketing purposes.
  • Conducting yourself and doing business in a way which is consistent with all of Ridgeway’s brand values. 

  • Providing regular, accurate weekly sales forecasts to the Directors and Senior Management Team to allow future revenue and resource planning to be undertaken. 

  • Collaborating as part of the Sales, Marketing and Client Services teams to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual business targets. 

  • Maintaining an accurate up-to-date record of data held in the agency’s CRM solution.

Your experience

  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience in a commercially focused role within a digital agency environment.
  • Proven background in generating leads, nurturing and successfully winning new business opportunities whilst exceeding set revenue targets.
  • A successful track record of bringing relevant new business into an organisation and onboarding across to the account teams.
  • Nurtured opportunities that have led to mid-scale digital project builds (£150k+) and brand sites with their associated digital marketing eco-systems
  • Understanding of the key digital development cycle through: User Research, UX, Design, Brand, Build, Search and Digital Marketing.
  • Experience of CMS platforms (e.g Kentico, Sitecore or EPiserver / other) along with equivalent E-commerce delivery bridged by multiple 3rd party integrations.
  • Brand and membership focused website project delivery.

  • Ability to accurately capture initial client requirements and transition into the agency.

  • Comfortable with the autonomy to work alone and hit targets deploying your own proven methodology and approach.

Pathway for progression

The Sales Development Manager’s role can offer accelerated progression into a more senior position within the Business Development Team, or can develop into a role within the wider Client Services Team.

    We offer a competitive salary and commission which is subject to performance, skills and experience.

  • Location

    We have two offices, located in Oxfordshire and central London. It is expected that a minimum of 2 days a week will be based on site at our Witney Studio, Oxfordshire.
