Oxfordshire web design agency, Ridgeway Studios, has launched a website for the Patient Safety Federation on behalf of NHS South Central.

In doing so, provided this vital safety initiative with a means of communicating findings, guidelines and research relating to improvements in patient care to healthcare professionals across the UK.

The success of the project depended on the new website being delivered quickly and on budget – two targets which Ridgeway Studios met.

Built using Kentico’s content management system, the Patient Safety Federation website has been designed to be easy to navigation, separating the information relating to different care initiatives into distinct sections of the website. By utilising Kentico’s easy-to-use content management functionality, NHS staff and administrators are now able to add and update content, documents and video content to the website without requiring the involvement of a web agency meaning updates can be made promptly and cost-effectively.

The success of the project depended on the new website being delivered quickly and on budget – two targets which Ridgeway Studios met. The web site was completed in seven weeks with Ridgeway Studios providing design, development and on-site training to staff at NHS South Central’s offices in Newbury.

Sarah Mussett, Head of Patient Safety Development for NHS South Central said: “Ridgeway Studios have delivered a website which makes it possible for the Patient Safety Federation project leads to distribute and publicise information and updates relating to their workstreams in a much easier manner than has ever been possible before. This represents a vital step forwards for the initiative as a whole and I’ve been very impressed by the speed at which the project has been completed and the ease with which we can now update the website ourselves.”

“Ridgeway Studios was chosen as the supplier for this project not only on the basis of the Kentico CMS solution we were proposing, but also because we demonstrated that we would be able to plan, design, develop and launch the solution in a very short timescale”, explained Simon Lassam, Managing Director of Ridgeway Studios. “The project highlights how simple it is to deliver cost-effective but essential web solutions using the Kentico platform and we’re delighted that the work we’ve done is now pivotal to the success of such an important patient safety initiative.”
