Sites were voted for by the public, with further awards from Kentico for specialist skills on site implementation. These awards seek out the best implementations from the thousands of websites launched by their thousands of global partners. With a record-breaking number of entries for the awards, we couldn’t be happier to announce our success…
AB Agri - Best Business Services Site
AB Agri is a unique community of leading agricultural businesses operating across the entire food supply chain, feeding 1 in 5 chickens globally. We helped to produce a strong brand identity that showcased its focus on sustainability and corporate social responsibility in a storytelling style to help third parties to understand and endorse the business in the community to increase sales.
We created a responsive website with a friendly, yet professional design, and Kentico was the perfect platform for achieving a fast implementation in just 8 weeks. Kentico offered a robust, trusted, and flexible solution for us to tell the brand’s story through video backgrounds, animated design elements, and intricate interactions for a fluidity that places the brand as a people-focused, modern supplier that consumers can rely on and trust.

HMV - Best Ecommerce Site & Largest Site
hmv is a long standing British retailer, which has been at the forefront of the music, film, and games industry for over 90 years. After a relaunch under new management, hmv wanted an ecommerce site in keeping with hmv’s heritage, but also their other websites, including hmv.com and hmvdigital.com.
The site was launched in June 2015 and uses Ridgeway’s unique Kentico Ecommerce Accelerator to create the promotions and functionality that large ecommerce clients expect as standard, with bespoke code to create hmv’s unique sense of customer experience. Customers can make secure payments via WorldPay at the checkout, whilst still collecting loyalty rewards through purehmv points.
The site stocks over 18,000 CD, 3,000 vinyl, 16,000 DVD, and 5,000 Blu-ray products with a complex promotions structure and the ability to pre-order. Traffic to the site is high, with severe fluctuations around major events, such as Christmas and product launches to account for. As such, we delivered stability by using high capacity servers with an optimised database cluster and extra memory to deliver content at high speed.
The hmv site uses a content delivery network to move data closer to the users around the globe. By using lazy-loading the image only loads when requested as you scroll down, further speeding up site load times. A simple, yet effective trick to helping hmv maximise sales even through the on-the-go audience who might be subject to the infamous slow connection public Wi-Fi zones.

The easy-to-use CMS means that the hmv team can easily maintain and update it with new releases and promotions.
With almost 82,000 pages and 44,500 SKUs, the site speed and performance proves that with the right partner, major high street brands can trust Kentico to offer a secure and tailored ecommerce solution, no matter how unique their needs.
