Our journey

Lovingly restored into an inspiring, sustainable workspace

The old children's nursery.

Nov 2023

One rainy morning in November we agreed a deal to purchase our new home. Once a deserted nursery now set to become a eco-friendly workspace full of natural light and flexible spaces.

An architects drawing of the new office

Jan 2024

We commission design-focused architect's Studio Four Point Ten to creatively repurpose the existing structure into a sustainable, comfortable workspace.

Old walls and stairs inside the old building

Dec 2024

We start stripping out the former nursery back to the bare walls. While the original structure remains, we removed all fixtures and fittings, including this staircase.

Jan 2025

Site Manager Monty keeps a watchful eye on proceedings, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety throughout the course of the build.

Wooden frame extension being added to the property

Mar 2025

We extend the building by 3m creating a bright and airy collaboration space. Made from sustainably-sourced wood, this whole structure was assembled in one day.

Apr 2025

Our extension gets a space age makeover. Mineral wool insulation works together with our solar panels and air-source heat pump to boost our energy efficiency.

Jun 2025

Our sustainability drive continues with the installation our MVHR system, keeping the whole building well ventilated and full of fresh air without losing heat.

Aug 2025

We start creating an outdoor area perfect for after work pizzas and drinks. Landscaped with biodiversity in mind, we planted trees, added bat boxes and created a pollinator paradise.

Sep 2025

Solar panels are installed providing up to 8kW of power - more than enough for entire building. When the sun's not shining, we charge up on low-carbon electricity overnight.

Oct 2025

Thermowood sustainable timber clads the exterior of the building. Responsibly sourced from FSC® or PEFC™ certified, well-managed forests, it delivers outstanding durability and long-term performance.

Newly laid office flooring

Nov 2025

New hard-wearing flooring has been installed, reducing cleaning overheads and supports efficient heating through our underfloor system and Air Source Heat Pump, enhancing comfort while cutting energy use.

Upstairs workspace, desks full of monitors ready for work

Dec 2025

The big push before Christmas… Final kitchen finishes completed, posters framed and hung, monitors fixed to desks, and two hand-forged handrails installed on the oak stairway by master blacksmiths at Donkeywell Forge.
