Ridgeway have launched hmv’s new ecommerce site, store.hmv.com.
The site was built on Kentico v8.2 using Ridgeway’s Kentico Ecommerce Accelerator to maximise budgets and speed up time to launch without compromising on quality.
The first phase of the new ecommerce website, launched on the 9th June, focuses on offering the basic experience of the hmv store by offering CD, vinyl, DVD and Blu-ray formats with all the discounting hmv promotes in store, such as 2 for £20 on DVD and 2 for £15 on Best of the Year CDs. On top of this, customers can pre-order music and films. Free delivery is available on all orders over £10.
hmv is focussed on recreating their unique in-store experience online, filling a gap for many who have lost their local store. The website has been graphically designed closely with hmv’s brand guidelines and to compliment the editorial-based website, hmv.com. A call to action links entertainment enthusiasts from articles on hmv.com to the store to create a seamless flow from engaging content to sales.

The website has been launched on the Kentico content management system to give hmv full control over their content and image updates.
